Walking in feels like you’re stepping in to a Gilmore Girls episode, it’s as quaint as it is cute. Their Egg Croissant on the breakfast menu is my favorite dish!

The pizza is delicious… but it can busy! If you want to avoid the wait, order it to go and pick it up down the street at 600 Degrees Market Place.

This one is a short 4 minute drive, or a longer walk at 18 minutes but their lattes are worth a little sweat! Interesting fact about their name, there’s not much to it, 309 just happens to be their address. There’s a great climbing structure for kids while you wait with the locals for that perfect cup of Joe.

A 7 minute walk down the road, Tony & Luigi’s is the intimate Italian neighborhood restaurant you wish you had down your street. The menu is vast with all your Italian favorites and more, and they have a gluten free pizza crust option.

Have kids? It’s a no-brainer. There’s a big playscape, food they’ll eat, and they have beer and wine for you!

You might know of Monument Cafe from the Food Network, but they call themselves a comfort food spot and they want to be known as the place where everyone knows your name, and they certainly know Matthew McConaughey’s name from his visits over the years. Everything on the menu hits the spot, but when you are thinking about subbing the home fries for something less carby, think again!

Reasonable for what feels like gourmet pizza from an Italian piazza when eating your personal sized pie. They offer delivery which is nice but that brings costs up with delivery charges. They have cauliflower crust! That’s a scarce option even in downtown Austin. The Primo is my favorite pizza — Gorgonzola, Artisan Cheeses, Smoked Prosciutto, Fig Drizzle, Balsamic Drizzle, and Shaved Parmesan

Free! Free parking! And it’s happening on a hot day. Spend a lazy day in an inner tube on a hot summer day and in Texas, summer pretty much lasts until October.
