Bee Well has the best coffee in town. They also have New York bagels that are regularly flown it, rolled and boiled in New York City. They're delicious.
It you are i town on a Thursday evening, come to Bee Well for Happy Hour at 5:00 for 1/2 price drinks, followed by the Pickens Jam Session--where local musicians (amateur, professional, and talented kiddos) play and sing all evening.

Hiking, waterfalls, swimming holes, picnic, camping, and views. One of my all time favorite hikes is the Carrick Creak Trail. It is a two mile moderate loop with lots of waterfalls.
