Glendo State Park is well known for its excellent boating opportunities, with plenty of areas for water-skiing and fishing. It also features 45 miles of trails for hikers and mountain bikers. Glendo offers everything from a mountain feel to the popular "beach setting," making it a very diverse destination with plenty to do and see. Don't miss Sandy Beach Campground and Day Use area - a mile long beach area great for relaxing and enjoying the sun!

Located on the North Platte River system, Glendo Reservoir offers ample opportunities for water enthusiasts and those just looking to explore the area's rich history and love for the outdoors. The Park is located in the south-eastern part of Wyoming, approximately 100 miles north of Cheyenne. Elevation is about 4,600 feet.
Glendo is a recreational paradise that is composed of roughly 22,000 acres to satisfy your inner adventurer. Glendo is located on the eastern plains of Wyoming. To the west of the Park is Laramie Peak, the tallest point in eastern Wyoming. The area of the Park is split between 12,000 acres of water and 10,000 acres of land. Glendo State Park is best known for its excellent boating opportunities, with plenty of areas for water-skiing and fishing. While it is well known for the water sports, there is plenty to do if you did not bring a boat! Over 45+ miles of non-motorized trail are available for your use for mountain biking and hiking.
Six (6) boat ramps are available for use on the reservoir depending on water levels - please check before you go! The Park offers 20 campgrounds with over 500 campsites which are primarily by reservation. Some sites do offer electric hook-ups. The following camping areas are First Come, First Serve (Walk ins) and not available for advanced booking: Colter Bay, Waters Point and Sandy Beach Willow sites 1522-1570. Check Park for availability on any First Come, First Serve camping.
