Food scene

Fantastic tableside guacamole service and mountain views just a hop skip and a jump from the 2br condo! The southwestern style cornbread is worth stopping by in and of itself, not to mention the rest of the mouthwatering menu! www.loewshotels.com/ventana-canyon/dining/restaurant

Their huge outdoor area makes this beer garden a perfect location for socially responsible gatherings, and it is located right around the corner (walking distance!) from the 3br condo, to boot. We can’t speak to the quality of their food, but we have popped over to try a cold one (with our then 18 month old) and enjoyed the outdoor seating as well as the space for our little one to run around.

Favorite spot for sushi! Pro tip: ask for the fresh wasabi, it is game changing. Also full disclosure my mouth is watering right now at the thought of their black snapper sushi!

Hiking

No visit to Tucson is complete without a trip to Sabino Canyon! Take the tram up and/or down for a beautiful guided tour through the canyon, and/or walk up and/or down- stops along the way to hop back on the tram when you’re ready. Trails leading from the main road provide hikers with options of varying levels of difficulty as well as spectacular views. https://www.visittucson.org/listing/sabino-canyon-recreation-area/33637/ “Come visit Sabino Canyon, one of the most premier natural areas in southern Arizona. This recreation area is located at the base of the Santa Catalina Mountains at 5700 N. Sabino Canyon, Tucson, AZ 85750. Here you will find outstanding scenery that features steep rock cliffs and unique desert vegetation adjacent to riparian corridors. You may get lucky and view a Gila Monster, Bobcat, Gambel's Quail, Eastern Collard Lizard, Gopher Snake and more. The animals of this area adapt to our 100 + degree summers and mild winters. The Sonoran desert has two rainy seasons: gentle winter rains and a dramatic summer monsoon. Due to winter snow melt and summer electrifying lightning storms Sabino Creek flows almost year around. Come have a picnic at one of the many pools and cascades that grace Sabino Creek.”

City advice

Getting around

IF YOU WANT TO HIRE TRANSPORTATION TO OR FROM AIRPORT, etc.

Lori Wren is our driver when we’re in town! Call or text her @ (520) 240-3648 to schedule and let her know you are staying at Sarah and Rob’s Airbnb!
Book before you go

IF YOU WANT TO BOOK THE BEST MASSAGE EVER:

Our family has been blessed with the healing hands of Katherine Allen; a licensed massage therapist who is local to Tucson. She is pretty busy with her own established practice (not to mention working toward her masters in engineering as well as parenting as a single mom!) but would love to work on any of our guests, schedule permitting. I’d suggest texting her STAT to try to set something up for when you’re in town! *tell her we sent you, as she isn’t taking any new clients. (520) 461-7828
