Getting around
The JFK causeway bridge delays
The bridge is down to 2 lanes while maintenance work is being done. This is an 18 month project and unfortunately this is the only way onto Padre unless you take the ferry at Port Aransas. But, during holidays, weekend and high season the waits are 2 hours + at times. Bring snacks and patience! So sorry for the inconvenience.
Getting around
BEACH PARKING PERMITS
A permit is required for any vehicle to park on the beach. They are $12 and are sold at HEB and most gas stations.
