Babbacombe Model Village is well worth a visit and dogs are allowed everywhere except for the cafe (though there is an outdoor terrace for refreshments) and 4D theatre. While you are in Babbacombe you could also go for a ride on Babbacombe Cliff Railway or go to Bygones, an indoor Victorian museum, so even if it’s cold and wet outside you have somewhere to visit

Neighbourhoods

The Town Centre has a varied selection of shops including high street names such as Boots, Betfred and Co-operative along with smaller independents, offering something for everyone. There are also numerous eating places catering for all tastes, including traditional pubs, popular cafes and restaurants. At the heart of the town centre lies a public park called 'The Lawn'. The lawn has an outdoor bowling green, bandstand for concerts, deckchairs, Tourist Information Centre, decorative flower beds and hatchery where you can see the new additions to the duck population on the Brook that flows adjacent to the lawn. Shops lie on either side of The Lawn, with grocers on the strand side and clothes and gift shops on both. Shopping is a pleasant experience due to the calm, relaxing environment the town has; popping over the brook and back being a necessary and ritual part of the shopping experience that locals are used to.
