From the north, head south on Route 97 from Narrowsburg, NY. From the intersection of Route 97 and Route 52 drive 4.5 miles south to Crawford Road on the right. Turn right on Crawford Road. From the south, head north on Route 97 from Barryville, NY. From the intersection of Route 97 and Route 55 drive 10.1 miles north to Crawford Road on the left. Turn left onto Crawford Road. Drive .3 miles on Crawford Road to the access to the parking area on the right. Park in the lot.

Drive .3 miles on Crawford Road to the access to the parking area on the right. Park in the lot.
This natural area with a lake offers camping, hunting, boating & a variety of multi-use trails. The 1,036-acre Hickok Brook Multiple Use Area features multiple use trails, Hickok Brook, a small pond and ample parking areas and designated campsites found along the road and near the pond. The gate into the property opens May 1st and remains open until winter conditions make the road impassable as determined by the Forest Ranger.

Great views. Directions: From Hastings-on-Hudson, take Saw Mill River Parkway north to US 87 over the Tappan Zee Bridge. At about 39 miles pick up Route 17 (heads northwest). Just before the town of Middletown, pick up US 84 to Port Jervis (heads south west). Get off at Exit 1. Turn left and keep heading straight on this road. (If you need an immediate break, the fast food restaurants are a left turn at the first light.) From the bridge over the Neversink River, head straight through Port Jervis as if you were going to go to Hawk's Nest Drive. Just before climbing a hill, there is a sign that says the left fork is for Fort Decker and the Delaware River Heritage Trail, while the road that climbs goes to the Elks-Brox Memorial Park. The park is on the right side of the road, 2.2 miles from the Neversink River Bridge. Point Peter and Mount William - Entrance on Route 97 westbound side of road
