Neighborhoods

A busy, historic district along the Potomac, Old Town is marked by Cobblestone streets and 18th-century townhouses. George Washington slept at Gatsby's Tavern, one of the many small museums in the area. Indie boutiques and foodie spots line King Street, and there are open-air eateries by the river. The Saturday Farmer's Market has been operating for 260 years.

BARCA is Old Town's newest riverfront neighborhood restaurant. This is my FAVORITE place to go during nice weather. BARCA (Spanish for boat) sits right on the water for a cool, breezy experience with friends. Serving up Spanish-Mediterranean small plates, wine, sangria, and cocktails plus weekend brunch. Make a reservation if possible. This place is very popular!
