Family Fun

Things the whole family will enjoy
I was born in Hattiesburg. And it has always been a wonderful place for families and children. One of the most adorable places to take your children is to the Hattiesburg zoo. For a town of only about 50,000 people, Hattiesburg is one of the few communities that has a full scaled and relatively large community Zoo. You will love it and don’t forget to take a train ride!

I don’t eat out a lot. But when I do, this is one of my favorite restaurants in Hattiesburg. They have the best shrimp and cheese grits on the planet!

Sightseeing

If you like fishing, this is a great place to go. Sometimes you will find people boating and you may not catch a whole lot of fish but the scenery is gorgeous and it’s actually really nice just to walk around the park.

And finally, here’s something for the history buffs! African-American history Museum. Make sure you check the schedule and follow up with the museum to make sure they’re open. Their schedule is flexible but it is not open every day.

Food scene

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Hattiesburg. The food is consistently fresh, and the sushi is delicious. You can watch them make it right in front of you.
