It is the home of Icelandic Symphony Orchestra which plays every Thursday during the season in the 2000 seat hall Harpa also has a number of smaller auditoriums suitable for all kind of music and events. Our favourite restaurant in town with a typical small bistro menu, reasonably priced and usually bustling in the evenings. They do not take reservations after 18:30 but you can usually get a seat at the bar if you just walk in. $$

The best fishmonger in town. Fresh fish and marinated and ready to cook dishes. They also have a small lunch restaurant where you get their freshest fish prepared by the owner who is accomplished chef. $
