Sightseeing

This monument marks the farthest point east of any US territory. A must visit for any guest, to see the sunrise and know that you are the "first" person in the US to see the sun rise that day....

City advice

Customs and culture

Greetings

Crucians, as we are called, greet with goodmornig; goodafternoon; goodnight. Persons from the mainland may say "hello" or simply start speaking or asking a question. There is no right or wrong in it, it's just the custom here. You may be frowned upon if you don't, so look out!
What to pack

Be comfortable.

No need for much formality, even at dinner, most places you will be accepted with a comfortable summer dress or shirt and shorts. Just don't look as if just walked out of the water at the beach. Though beach attire witha simple pull over may work at some places especially for breakfast or lunch. Call to find out before you go.
Book before you go

Shoes for beach lime

Before you leave the mainland, stop by Wal-Mart and purchase beach shoes, (I usually get mine for less than $10 there). The beaches here are rocky and could bruise the soles of your feet and spoil the beach vibe.
Don't miss

Dive/snorkel

This is a huge activity on the island, so if you are into it, you could have a blast.
