Food Scene

The best coffee in our neighbourhood, amazing pastries, cakes and breads, all baked on the tiny premises. It's a 15 minute walk that can become a very pleasant 25 minutes if you go via the river.

Really beautiful modern Australian food. We ate tapas style last time, ordering a number of entrees, so we could try as much as possible. Delicious!

Rodney's is a cosy bar filled with marine memorabilia, as a tribute to the owner's father's fishing obsession. They regularly feature live music - particularly jazz.

This park has a great, nature-based play area for children. It's part of a 5km walk you can do, down Palmerston St to the park, turn left to go along the river to end up at Bay View Park, or right to end up at the beach.

Mosman, Leighton and South Cottesloe Beach make up the best dog beach in Perth. Head a little north and you get to Cottesloe Beach, probably the most famous beach in Perth. No dogs there! But lots of restaurants, cafes etc.
