This will take up your day but there are lots of good reasons to drive to Egmont, especially if there are big tide swings and you can see big whirlpools at low tide or expert kayakers playing on the standing wave at high tide.

If you are interested in renting kayaks, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND you consider doing this as it is very good value and in the midst of some of the most beautiful scenery on the coast. The Egmont Adventure Center (an internet search should take you to the link) offers you great packages that include lunch at West Coast Wilderness lodge and kayaking or boat tours up into Princess Louisa Inlet. Just be aware that Egmont is a 45-50 minute drive away. Don't worry, though, there is lots to see and do on your way there or on your way home!

This is a recent addition to the Sunshine Coast food scene and they have AWESOME sourdough, traditional breads and decadent croissants etc. Also arguably the best coffee on the coast. They have very limited hours during the pandemic so be sure to check the instagram or facebook accounts for up to date details.

All the way back to Gibson's but if you are looking for oysters and other seafood delectables, this is the place. Beautiful spot in front of Gibsons Harbour. As with all restaurants these pandemic days, check their social media accounts for up to date opening days and times. And if you can, book reservations.
