Arthur's Seat is an excellent point to view the city. Go especially at Dawn and Dusk to view Edinburgh in all it's a glory. Not too taxing a hike up but beware, the steep approach is STEEEEP.

It's a nice walk too when compared to the Arthur's Seat trail but with the added bonus of viewing Arthur's Seat! Another excellent vantage point (probably why they built the Edinburgh Observatory there) to the South of Edinburgh less frequented by tourists but watch out, you may be overwhelmed by cute 4 legged beasties as it's an activity area for dog walkers.

A bustling and vibrant haven for foodies during the day, this Scandinavian Bar/Cafe/Restaurant/Live Music Venua covers pretty much everything under the sun. During the night, it's a hip bar with a great atmosphere and live music. Just round the corner from the apartment and situated right on the canal, it's a great place to visit the morning after the night you've already spent there!.

Drinks & Nightlife

What can I say? This is my local. I've been going here for years and not because its a hop skip and a jump away but because of the fantastic vibes and the friendly characters. It really is a cosy enchanting bar and the food menu is excellent too. It has and always will be a favourite of mine. Groups can hire out the basement for free too (in advance) and comes with it's on disco ball! Long live the Cuckoo!

Entertainment & Activities

EICA is Europe's largest indoor Climbing Arena and has hosted many world climbing events. From Beginner to advanced climber, all will have a cracking time. Be sure to check out the Aerial Assault course too to start the blood pumping. Situated on the outskirts of the city, it's a bus journey and a short walk away or cycle along the canal which starts just at the apartment.
