Look for special exhibits, too, that showcase global and Canadian finds of all kinds, from prehistoric digs to tattoo art to modern architecture. For Costco members, look online for discount coupons to cut the entrance fee! And for any couples or families returning to Toronto's ROM more than twice a year, the membership is an excellent deal at $145 which includes unlimited kids.

A spacious zoo with exotic species that do well in Norther climes includes capybaras, llamas, and even wallabys! For kids, a large castle playground, playstructures, a swimming pool, and a splash pad dot the park.

It's a bit of a drive, but the Zoo is big and fantastic with many indoor pavilions to see any kind of animal you can imagine (except Elephants - who were thankfully relocated to a wildlife reserve with more space and more elephants)
