Swimming! The East beach is best for grownups - walk to the left for a little way and the crowds thin right out. If you are a Broadchurch fan you will recognise the golden cliffs. They are beautiful but don't put your towel in close as they do fall down occasionally! For little ones the beach on the far side of the town is better, beneath the esplanade - less spectacular but more sheltered and with rocks to climb on. Great place to get fish n chips or ice cream from a booth. Nice for a winter walk as well and fishing trips can be taken from the harbour.

Incredible views all the way around this Iron Age fort which was finally conquered by the Romans. Our nearest walk - or just sit on the ramparts and stare at the sea. Ideal for kites. You can walk there from the house or take the wimps approach and drive to the top of the hill!
