It sits in about 160,000 acres of the Tioga State Forest. The canyon begins south of Ansonia, near Wellsboro, along U.S. Route 6 and continues south.
Rock Run was named best swimming hole by Backpacker Magazine. The water temperature is not for the faint of heart as it is "refreshing" in the middle of the summer! Rock Run, located in McIntrye Wild Area of Loyalsock State Forest near Ralston in Lycoming County, is one of the most beautiful streams in all of Pennsylvania. The waters of this stream are crystal clear and pass through incredible gorges and flumes and over waterfalls as the stream makes its way towards its confluence with Lycoming Creek.

Over 100 concrete munitions bunkers are all that remain of a Pennsylvanian village seized by the US government. After the attack on Pearl Harbor in December of 1941, the United States was determined to ramp up production of necessary war materials, at all costs. In the spring of 1942 the federal government seized the small village of Alvira, Pennsylvania, and after kicking out the populace, razed almost every building in the village to build the Susquehanna Ordnance Depot.
