This is the ultimate desert scene. Spend the day in death Valley, and know you can drive back to the house with a comfortable and scenic route.
The drive is about 1 hr 15 minutes from Ridgecrest, but you must use google maps. Other maps will take you around the mountain making the drive 2 hrs.
