These are hands-down the best bagels in the area - and among the best you'll ever eat! They have a wide variety of breakfast and lunch sandwiches, and the service is friendly and quick!

Lola's Delicatessen (formerly called Lola Mo's) is a fairly recent addition to our wonderful downtown food scene. It's an informal deli with unique and delicious sandwiches. They have a really good gluten-free bread option, and pile on the meats and toppings!

This unique little spot is great for breakfast especially, but they have good lunches too. Be sure to take a look at their menu - they've got the favorites (eggs, pancakes, etc), but they also have some tasty, unique options that you won't find anywhere else!

Food Maxx has a HUGE selection of international foods from all over the world. If you're into preparing your own international cuisine, this is definitely your best bet to find whatever you're looking for. They also have really great international snacks.

This is the closest full service laundromat. They have a self-serve side as well as a dry cleaning side. Dry cleaning takes a few days, so if you're only in town a short time, that service might not be an option.

Harrisonburg has a number of wonderful city parks. Westover Park is the closest, and has options for picnic tables/pavilions, playgrounds, disc golf, hiking, biking trails, and seasonal swimming pool.

Whether you love to hike or just want to see the views from the comfort of your vehicle, Skyline Drive won't disappoint! From Summit Escape to the Afton Mountain entrance is about a 45 minute drive. Head north on Skyline Drive and exit at the Swift Run Gap station, then head back for about a 2-1/2 hour drive time. Or, continue north to the Thornton Gap station for a 3-3/4 hour drive time.

Located along Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park, this is a fairly short hike with a quick rock scramble and great 360 degree views.

This is about a 2 hours hike, and the trailhead is located about a half hour from Harrisonburg. At the end you're rewarded with a fantastic view from the top of the tower!

Old Rag is a favorite local hike for those who are looking for a more challenging experience. It is around 9 miles and includes a rock scramble and significant elevation changes. The ranger station is a beautiful 80 minute drive from Summit Escape.

Harrisonburg Little League Association Discount Card
We are members of the Harrisonburg Little League Association, and have a discount card that you are welcome to use at many local restaurants and other establishments. It will be available in your suite during your stay!
Getting around
Plenty of transportation options!
There are plenty of transportation options in Harrisonburg, including staples like public buses and taxis, but we also have Lyft, Uber, and Bird scooters. Harrisonburg is also very bike-able, with a growing number of dedicated bike lanes and multi-use paths. We also have many restaurants that deliver through Grubhub, Doordash, Uber Eats, and GiddyUp (bicycle courier).
