Dog friendly and local pubs and restaurants
At the time of going to press, and in no particular order, here are some places where you can take your best friend and feel welcomed :)
SWAN INN

Situated at the top of the highest point in Happisburgh (Hayesbru') is the Hill House. Conan Doyles stayed here, people love its food and dog friendly atmosphere and it has the dubious distinction of being likely to be in the sea within 50 years or so - Happisburgh has one of the worst coastal erosion issues in the UK, though there is tireless campaigning to save this pretty, rambling village.

Overlooking the sands of Mundesley Beach on the North Norfolk coast, The Ship Inn dates back 300 years, and is possibly the oldest pub on the Norfolk coast. They have a giant beachside garden where food and drink can be enjoyed while you watch the waves crash and the sun set.

At Hickling Staithe, I love the location of the Pleasureboat. Nothing beats sitting out with a beer, looking at the boats moored up in one of the prettiest small staithes I know.
