Getting Around
The San Antonio Caltrain station is a great way to go to San Francisco without the hassle of using a car. Once in the city, you can use Muni buses/light rail or Uber to get around.

Unfortunately, the Milk Pail closed on June 30, 2019 after 45 years. So sad! The Milk Pail had an amazing selection of fresh fruits & vegetables. In particular, they had a vast cheese selection, fresh breads delivered twice daily. It was a an amazing European style outdoor market. There are local farmers markets you can visit, they are only once a week and you will need to drive there. Ask your host about these alternatives (California Avenue Farmers’ Market, Mountain View Farmers’ Market, & Los Altos Farmers’ Market - May through Sep)

Parks & Nature
Although a small regional park, it has several good hiking trails. It's one of my favorite places to hike and is rarely crowded. The trails can be strenuous but worth it. There are several trail access points.

Regional park that has extensive trails and is very scenic. The downside is its popularity. It can be crazy busy on the weekends where parking can be almost impossible. If you go here, go early or on weekdays.
