Great lake only a few miles from our house, we kayak here a lot in the summer. There is boat launch, which is a great place to launch kayaks, and about a mile father down the road (at a red barn) there is a trail to a small beach area with great swimming.

Pick up the trail off of Long Pond Road (in Glencliff), can also be accessed of off Lime Kiln Road (in East Haverhill). Lots of wild blueberries on the way up (in season), easy hike with moderate elevation. Out-and-back hike, 3.4 miles total. Not uncommon to see a bear mostly during dawn and dusk.
