This is our favorite spot in the summer and it is a classic Maine experience. The restaurant is located on the water and has lovely outdoor dining and live music on certain nights. Excellent roasted duck served at dinner. A really idyllic Maine summer experience!

The very best seafood stew ever!! Also a gigantic 1 foot long lobster roll for around $40 is available. Casual with outdoor seating, fried seafood, etc. Scallop roll for $7 is a great deal. The owner of Red Barn has raised millions of dollars for charity and is a real inspiration in the area.

Incredible donuts made from Maine potatoes! Hit this when you go near Portland. There are also a couple other locations right in downtown Portland, but this one has plenty of parking.
