Food Scene

Super eco, organic, handmade pizza. Crazy cheap local beer on tap. Relaxed atmosphere. Oh, and a (very clean) chicken coup to watch while you wait! Pizza with a soft egg and arugula? Yummmm. $5 margherita pizza happy hour!

Drinks & Nightlife

One of our favorite beer bars in the area. Out of the way of the tourist/club fray of Capitol Hill, Beacon Hill still has a neighborhood vibe with some great restaurants. Full tap list, pub-style menu ($$), and free popcorn! TV is usually tuned to sports and if you walk in during trivia, expect it to be crowded. Family friendly!

2.5 mile paved loop around the park, and lots of picnic shelters in between. Beautiful views of Lake Washington and Mount Rainier on clear days. 15 minute drive, and well worth it!

Awesome park, with lots of wooded walking/jogging trails, a huge bluff with amazing views of the ferries crossing the sound, and beach access, including a light house! Last year, we even saw a pod of orcas from the shore. Makes you feel like you're out of the city, and only 20 minutes away!
