Genesee Valley Park which is great for outdoor activities with beautiful trails along the Erie Canal. Minutes from Corn Hill, Highland Park, the South Wedge. Mt. Hope Cemetery, across from Strong Hospital, was designed in 1837 by Frederick Law Olmstead, the designer of Central Park in NYC. Frederick Douglas, Susan B. Anthony, the Strongs and Bausch and Lomb families are buried here, with many other individuals of historic interest. The specimen trees and wonderful walkways are great for nature watching: deer, foxes, hawks, owls, woodchucks and chipmunks! The monuments and mausoleums are magnificent.
