Excellent Italian. Two minute walk. Homemade pasta (as specifically if your dish has it, not all do), great seafood dishes. Good price for the quality. We also get takeout here. It's a bit cheaper than dining in and you can often make one entree work for two.

Excellent and unique interior Mexican with some dishes they term "ancient". Not Tex-Mex, which can be great, but is more typical of Mexican restaurants in the US. Brunch is great and they have a ridiculously cheap weekday lunch. It's a bit hidden compared to other restaurants in the area, it's not trendy and not well known even among longtime neighborhood residents. This means it's usually not crowded. We've had good Mexican food from our time in Austin, TX. There are not many good Mexican restaurants in the Boston Area. Tu Y Yo is very good.

A bit farther but it's a nice walk. You can usually park at the restaurant. Consistently excellent food and you can usually get a table. They describe it as "multi-ethnic cuisine inspired by the rustic fare of the Mediterranean region. The menu features exotic flavors and aromas of regions ranging from Italy, Greece, Southern France, and the Balkans to North Africa and beyond." http://www.saburrestaurant.com
