Jump on the Inokashira line, take the side going to "Kichijoji" not Shibuya. Kichijoji has lots of shops and a similar atmosphere to Shimokita. Walk to Inokashira park and enjoy the boats in the pond. There is a great Thai restaurant in the park too!
