Now hosting the Athens Courthouse, the Evelpidon neoclassical building was the former Military Academy. It was founded in 1828 and marked in the modern times Greece's military history, that goes back centuries until ancient Sparta. It has produced soldiers that have not only fought in a number of important conflicts globally, but became scientists, authors, engineers and professors, all highly distinguished in their field. Today the Academy is transferred at the area of Vari and the Evelpidon buildings are used by the Athens Court of Law. It's worth the visit and the stroll in the adjacent park.
