My absolute favourite place to enjoy Thai food. Try the #43 Panang Curry it is 'to die for'. Only 10 mins drive away in a the suburb of Kensington. Open early 6pm - 10pm

The Loop walk Heritage & Sculpture Trail is a must see. Enjoy sculptures with significant cultural meaning, created by local artists. Set out from any point along The Loop walk it is located on the Town Basin village side of the Harbour.

Sightseeing

Sculptured by early Maori inhabitants into a pa or great fortress and was reputedly the largest pa in all New Zealand. The Lookout summit is located on the same road as our home and well worth a visit.

'The Fish hook bridge' is an award winning Bascule Bridge and a must see. Opens regularly during the day to let tall boats sail along the Hatea river and out to sea. Opens most days around 12 noon. Looks amazing both day or night and part of the 4.2km Hatea Loop walk.

Just 2 minutes drive up the hill to this amazing free Mountain Bike Park. Awesome fun, great views and plenty of different level tracks. Sign boards posted all over the park so you wont get lost.
