We negotiated that our guests get a special discount at this Waterfall Park owned and ran by locals. There are 5 waterfalls you can visit, easy yet steep hiking, veeeery enjoyable. The 4th waterfall is nearly 100 meters high.

Just 20 to 25 min. away driving, at this +30 year old Wildlife Rescue Center you can see jaguars, pumas, other felines and local wild animals. Inexpensive and worth seeing. It is NOT a zoo, it is a rescue center, which means that the animals you will see are there only because, for specific reasons, these animals can not be returned to their natural environment.

Simple basic bar frequented by locals, mainly due to the good variety of "bocas" (appetizers). Nothing luxurious, and not really a place for families (although locals sometimes go with their families). The mariachi will show up some nights to offer you live music, $4 dollars for a song or two right beside your table.
