Food Scene

Its so small and filled with goodness. There aren't many spots to sit, but even just to grab a takeaway love sandwich or their incredible salads is worth the trip. Trust me you won't be disappointed.

Incredible food and to see them make their breads and bakery foods behind the counter is like watching a show- all over a fabulous plate of food.

A beautiful wine estate. They often allow picnics in their gardens and have a deli if you fancy topping up on delicious treats. Wine tasting is also on offer and a little restaurant and butchery. This is a great day out and the drive their is beautiful.

One of my personal favourites. Again the meals can be seen as they cook them- so choosing is pretty difficult- especially when it all looks (and tastes) so magnificent. Situated in Kalk bay and a great little excursion out of the city. Olympia bakery has a great little setting overlooking the Kalk Bay Harbour and there are many little shops along this road.

Drinks & Nightlife

They serve food too but be sure to book a table. If you don't feel like moving from place to place for a good night out- then Village Idiot is your answer. Arrive early evening to enjoy a peaceful meal in a social environment before the pace picks up and the bar becomes a semi nightclub.

Sightseeing

About a 1hr30 hike in total- thats up and down. This is a great sunrise or sunset hike. Not too excruciating and a view that mikes the incline well worth the effort.

A drive well worth the incredible views. Most of the drive looks back over Hout Bay and then ends near Noordhoek- which over the weekend has a fabulous little market at Cafe Roux. It's a great little getaway from the bustle of the city and the views are magical.

If you fancy meeting a few locals over their dogs- then this is the place to be. PLenty of city locals and their pets frequent this park daily. There is a fountain in the centre too where all the water loving dogs meet. Even if you haven't got a dog, but feel like unwinding around those that do, this is a perfect spot. You can also take your books or picnic baskets along and relax.

Our warmest water and an opportunity to surf or tan. There are more beautiful tanning beaches but if you feel like combining it with a surf and a lunch overlooking the beach then this is ideal. Wet suits and surfboards can be rented from a number of shops along the Muizenberg beach strip.
