Food Scene

It is famous for their lobster & bacon sandwich. They also have one of the best tortilla soups. My other favorites are their suateed calamari, shrimp pizza, Arrachera, and fresh fish. There are so many options and they are all delicious!!

Parks & Nature

The only way to get there is by boat. There are lots of private boats you an rent and enjoy a beautiful day on the Carribean. It normal takes a half a day for the entire tour. Sit in knee deep water and sip on your favorite beverage while you are surrounded by starfish and an occasional ray comes to visit you.

Sightseeing

One cant come to Cozumel with out going to the eastern side of the island. There are many pocket beaches/clubs to stop at along the way. Its one road around the island. There are some fabulous places to eat my favorites are Coconuts (shrimp quesadillas) and El Pescador (fresh fish or ceviche). It you want to be alone you can stop an any of the public beaches and set up your spot. There is only one place that I know of that provides a life guard. Please keep in mind that rip-tides frequent the eastern side of the island so please be vigilant of this to keep yourselves safe. There is body surfing, boogie boarding, and surfing over here. Be safe and have fun!

City advice

Getting around

driving in Cozumel

Most of the roads are one-way roads. If you are going North to South in the city, there are no stops unless you see a stop-sign. Heading west and east there is a stop at EVERY road. The directional signs are located on the sides of the buildings, if unsure look to see how the cars are parked. If it's a two way road most will have mediums. Be careful as scooters tend to ride on your right side and it's hard to see them sometimes when making a turn. Google maps work great if you have wifi.
Customs and culture

Toilets

Most places including airbnb require you to place the TP in the trash can. Please keep this in mind as the sewers are not set up to accept that or foreign objects. I know it might seem weird, but it for a really good reason and it's important you respect this for the islands and the plumbing sake.
