Food Scene

Copenhagen’s most popular Vietnamese restaurant that serves exciting and delicious food, for instance crispy spring rolls, noodles and a piquant mixture of chilli, lime and ginger. The atmosphere is young and lively and the prices are reasonable. Lê Lê also has a takeout place on Vesterbrogade within a stone’s throw from the restaurant.

Paté Paté is located in an old liver pâté factory – hence the name – and is owned by Kenn Husted, a wine bar specialist, who is also the man behind a number of other places in Copenhagen. The kitchen serves breakfast, lunch and dinner inspired by the French, Spanish and Moroccan cuisines and there is a wide array of wines to select from. Popular among creative people and local celebs.

Christiania is a place you most likely read about, with its obvious and semi-legalized marijuana trade, but it's much more than that. Cozy little cafés, picturesque scenery by old military foirtifications and small interesting little shops and local crafts. The area around Christiania is rapidly being developed these years, I highly recommend a walk along the house boats on Holmen and the buzzing activity on Refshaleøen (Copenhagen Street Food etc)

Karens Minde is a natural area in Copenhagen's South Harbor near the Valbypark, with free-ranging sheep, goats and llamas and many cultural events. Very few people know of this local gem, only 15 minutes from Vesterbro by bicycle. Karens Minde Kulturhus was built as an asylum institution in 1879 and the vast nature reserve behind it was actually created as a landfill from Copenhagens expansion in the 1940s.
