Woodland lake has a paved hiking trail around the lake and picnic areas with all the amenities a cook-out needs. There are a number of play areas for children. The lake is surrounded by tall pines and lovely views. It is crowded with a wide variety ducks and geese in season. There are bald eagles, egrets, and red winged black birds. Other wildlife come to drink there. People fish off the pier. Others walk their dogs along the paved trails. There are romantic hideaways and charming places to photograph.
