Parks & Nature

This place is about an hour or so (by car) from where I grew up. The sand is white like sugar, and the water is transparent and a normal temperature. This beach brings back great memories where it was used to be visited by the locals and nearby folks. This island was owned by the Tirol family, my distant relatives. Don't forget to visit, "The Tirol Heritage Museum!"

You will be able to see the statue of our National Hero, Jose Rizal, being guarded by the military officers. You will stroll and see the city's park. Nearby is also Intramuros, the Spaniards' city when they settled in the Philippines. Luneta and Intramuros are two (2) of the most important history of our country. This is a must especially if you want to learn the history of our country!

Taal Volcano is surrounded by a lake. It is the smallest volcano in the world. A cooler place compared to hot and humid Manila. By car, this is about an hour or two from Manila. It's a great place to get away from the city. You can do horseback riding, buy souvenirs and fruits from the locals, and just enjoy nature. Don't forget: Dine at Balay Dako to eat Filipino dishes and enjoy Taal Lake's view from your table. Ask for warm "Piyaya" to go.
