If you want to try Portuguese home-style cooking go there. Very simple food from the north of Portugal. Loved among the locals. Low prices, not a tourist trap like most of the restaurants around.

I know this is a bit off the beaten path but this is one of the places I like to eat. You really eat well there. And you eat a lot. Always full, with a line outside the door - locals love it

Cantina das Freiras (the nun's canteen). Great view over Lisbon! A great place to have lunch (Mon-Fri, 12-15) everything is home-cooked and delicious. Great price, great view, not so easy to find :)
