Parks & Nature

A lovely 20 minute walk on a groomed, level trail out to amazing ocean vistas...like having your very own little Acadia National Park, without the drive! Owned and maintained by the Pemaquid Watershed Association, a wonderful local organization. And all free!

The garden is 30 minutes drive from The Haven. One of the best botanical gardens in the NE, if not the country. A little pricey, but worth it if you can stay awhile and enjoy the full ambience of the place. Take a blanket and relax and after you're tired out from walking to the far edge of the grounds, take the complementary golf cart service back to the entrance.

Drinks & Nightlife

By day, King Ro is a small, local general store, and on Monday evenings during the summer from 5-7 they have live bluegrass out on the side lawn. If you like meeting locals, just hanging out and taking your chances with whatever local talent turns up that night, this is the place for you. Old fashioned, low key family fun. It's free, but take some money as you'll undoubtedly want something to eat or drink while you're there and the King Ro is happy to oblige. And don't forget a folding chair, or blanket!
