Followed by a dip in the Ocean. Sawtell Main Beach and Southside Headland are in walking distance. To walk off those extra calories from TREEO,s amazing food!!

Sawty Pub as us locals call it. Great atmosphere. Local Bands on a Friday and Saturday night. Great food!! Friday Arvo Night Pick the Joker Raffles. Courtesy Bus available on request.

Sightseeing
Coffs Harbour Jetty is a Beautiful Place, the local teenagers (and some of us that like to think we still are LOL) like to do what is called Jetty Jumping. There is an area on the Jetty that even though signs say please dont jump!! We still do!! The Local Council and Police have given up trying to stop this!! The Jetty is wonderful any time of the day!! I personally like a stroll at sunset. The Foreshores (BBQ areas and Childrens Parks) are also located here. There is also a Local Markets here every Sunday as well as Markets at the Jetty Village Shopping Centre Carpark. For those of you who like a challenge there is also a walk from the Harbour to the Top of Muttonbird Island.

Jetty Beach

Bellingen is well known for its alternate community feel but also encompassing Urban Retro (For Lack of a better description) You have to go there to see what I mean!! Going from Seaside to Freshwater rivers with the locals dont want you to know watering holes of the Promised Lands. Massive Markets are held on the 3rd Saturday of each month. The Biggest Markets in the Area. Bellingen Main Street is amazing with boutique shops and Cafes, Local Pubs etc. When you get there believe me you will know who are the locals compared to the Tourists. I live only 25 minutes away and still feel like a Tourist when I am there!!

Toormina Gardens Shopping Centre is walking distance (15 mins) or driving (3mins) away. Woolworths, Coles, Kmart and Aldi along with your general specialty shops. Toormina Hotel is also Located here along with various fast food outlets. Our Local Chicken Shop (The Roost) has been operating for over 30 years. It has the Best Chicken Gravy I have ever tasted!! And the chicken is southern fried Chicken is to die for!! Much to KFC's disgust which is also located here!! The Locals still prefer The Roost over KFC. There is also 2 other Major Shopping Centres in Coffs Harbour 10 minutes away Park Beach Plaza is the Biggest and then the Town Centre.

Toormina Shopping Centre station

Toormina has everything you need for your essential needs. Chemist, Food Shopping etc The Locals dont tend to travel to Coffs Harbour unless they are in need of something specific. To us locals a drive into town (Coffs Harbour) Even though its only 10 minutes away is a pain!! Funny I know!!! If you are staying for a longer period we are more than happy to put a load of washing on for you and you can then hang it out on our Clothes Line.

The Iconic Big Banana just north of Coffs Harbour is great, Here you have a vast array of activities to explore. Ice Skating, Laser Tag, Tobogganing, Mini Golf, Water Park and Slides, Big indoor slide. There is a Confectionary Shop that makes Hard Boiled confectionery in many different flavours. They do presentations of confectionary making a few times a day. You can even get them to personalize words etc into the confectionary

The Big Banana Fun Park
351 Pacific HwyThe Iconic Big Banana just north of Coffs Harbour is great, Here you have a vast array of activities to explore. Ice Skating, Laser Tag, Tobogganing, Mini Golf, Water Park and Slides, Big indoor slide. There is a Confectionary Shop that makes Hard Boiled confectionery in many different flavours. They do presentations of confectionary making a few times a day. You can even get them to personalize words etc into the confectionary
Getting Around
Sawtell Coaches is our Local Bus Company which travels around Sawtell Toormina as well as Coffs Harbour. The Buses run around every 30 minutes and our Local Primary School Toormina Public School is a Bus stop. This is 100 metres away from us. Alternatively if you need a lift to Coffs Harbour I work there and leave Home Monday to Friday at 8.00am and finish work at 5.00pm. Also my husband John works at Toormina Shopping centre.
