Historical. Church with services on Sundays at noon.
500 years ago Franciscan monks came to this area Totoral and built a mission. Later they added the round tabernacle style church. Really a must see. Enchanting.

City advice

Ways to save

We have a couple of great "Picas" to eat 8,000 pesos.

"Pica's" are mostly known to the locals. They complete at least 2 of the B's. Bueno, Barrato y Bonito ;) Renacer Fish Market and restaurant in Algarrobo, El Gallo in Litre on Luz Divina and the Club Rayuela in Mirasol are both affordable options for lunch. About 8mil pesos per person. There's another one near the bus terminal in Quisco for about 5mil pesos per person. It's the first mini-market on the right going up the hill. They have a little restaurant there attached to the market. Delicious french fries and comida "casera" ! ;)
Getting around

I love to take the city bus.

It's always an adventure and a cultural experience. You can go all the way to San Antonio for 1500pesos!
What to pack

Good walking shoes are a must...

... if you like to walk and hike. High heels are pretty much useless as night life is pretty lame. ;)
Don't miss

Algarrobo Wetlands.

The wetlands in Algarrobo are disappearing. Better to see them while you still can. Go to EcoLab App and you can learn all about them. Membrillo, Sen Geronimo, Tunquen, Quebrada del Yeko, Quebrada de las Casas etc. The first 3 still have a lot of wildlife like swans and herons.
