This is the building right opposite my flat, and they host Pop/Rock Open Stages in the Bar at Wednesday nights. Not always highest quality but fun if you wanna play Guitar on a Amsterdam Stage!

Amazing Cocktails! not cheap though... But go there on a Thursday night and the Gipsy Swing Band will be worth everything. Seriously, they are awesome. Fun Times guaranteed.

Food Scene

It's one of the most beautiful and cozy bars I know in Amsterdam. But in the evenings it gets a little too full sometimes. In winter they have a chimney that makes it even more cozy.

A quirky little cafe. They also sell lamps, but the pies are much better. Actually it looks as if the interior is what grandma left behind, and you can buy everything. Vegetarian dinner available!

Essentials

The closest real supermarket. It's a good quality supermarket that has most of what you need except liquor with more than 20% alc. Open every day, also sundays, but never at night. Rather small store.
