Fantastic brunches - try their eggs Florentine - but there's an extensive menu. Or you can just pop in for coffee and cake. Lovely fresh ingredients. It can get busy if you hit it at the wrong time as its so popular.

Parks & Nature

One of our favourite places in London - lovely for a walk - and you can visit the Windmill - there is a cafe close by. You can also walk through to Richmond Park where you can hire bikes. You can also book horse riding on the Common on one of the two riding stables in Wimbledon.

You can see the deer, take a picnic, enjoy a lovely walk, visit the Isabella Plantation. If you want to be active you can hire a bike as its cycle heaven and you can also arrange to go horse riding. A total oasis in London.

A great repertoire of plays - often with A list actors plus additional 1 off evening events. Great bar - lots of restaurants nearby - and a lot cheaper than London's theatreland. Its a doddle to get to Kingston by bus from a busstop about 1 minute from base.

Has some amazing masters, a great cafe and shop and puts on great special exhibitions. Also has guided tours. Adoddle to get there - take the train from Wimbledon heading for Waterloo but get off at Vauxhall and change onto the Victoria line. The stop you need is Pimlico and then its a short walk to Tate Britain - which is on the banks of the Thames. You can take the riverboat up to the sister gallery - the Tate Modern which is also highly recommended - and as well as amazing art you can enjoy great views of London over the Thames.

Sunday mornings at Colombia Road Flower market are magical - grab some bargain flowers or plants (we'll lend you a vase!) and enjoy pottering in and out of the amazing independent crafty shops - there are milliners , haberdashery stores, jewelry shops, antique stores and art galleries. You can stop off to enjoy scrumptious bagels or choose from a selection of street food. Probably our favourite place in London. The market starts early (7 ish) and gets pretty packed - but we usually rock up about 10 or 11 am - and that works fine. Best to get there on the northern line tube station from South Wimbledon and get off at Old street. Then trace your way there using google maps.
