Delicious, local beers for drinking and take out. Use the Blue Heron provided growler to bring home some of your favorite beer for later. Check out their calendar for local music.

My favorite restaurant, owned by two of my favorite people. Delicious meals from local farms, and amazing desserts. Sunday brunch in the shade of the side porch is perfect. Order some of their delicious pizza for pick up. Call ahead to check their hours as they change during the year. Say hello to the owners Ki and Kai for me!

My favorite New Mexican winery, just a ten minute walk past the Coop. Local made wines to buy by the bottle for lunch or dinner or by the case to ship home.

Everything Else

The Jemez Springs Bath House is an experience not to be missed. It's an hour and forty five minutes from the Long House, but well worth the drive. You'll drive over the mountains past Los Alamos and see some gorgeous NM scenery. I always plan a day to visit the Bath House when I'm in NM for an hour long soak in the natural mineral water, followed by a hot wrap and sometimes a massage. Be sure to call ahead to make an appointment. http://www.jemezspringsbathhouse.com/

Take the shortcut through San Juan Pueblo to get on 285 up to Ojo. There are multiple, public baths ranging in temps from 98 to 104 degrees. Massages, private baths, and a wonderful restaurant and bar are also available. No reservations needed if you're just going into the public baths. They're open until 10 pm, so a late afternoon/early evening soak is definitely something to consider. Weekends can be busy. If you want to borrow any of the five changing room locker locks we have, just ask Noel or Gabrielle to borrow as many as you need. They cost $5/each at Ojo.

Ancient ruins, hiking and awesome views. Bring water and your hiking shoes and leave behind your fear of climbing ladders to see some of the most amazing places where the original inhabitants of the Southwest used to live.
