Food Scene

Bailey’s is a locally owned and operated pizza place. If you don’t like the mainstream and want to try something local, give them a shot.

Ok, I know Sonic isn't exactly the "food scene" but it's within walking distance of the house. So if you get a case of the munchies late at night, you can walk over and grab something pretty easily.

Ok, this may seem like a little bit of a drive, but it's always been worth it to me. The owners are some real foodies, and they change the menu up all the time. You can always get the good ol' burger and fries, but you just might stumble into something new that Ben is trying out!

A great locally owned restaurant. As the name may imply, the cookies are wonderful. I can't visit without leaving with several (that's three or more).

Arts & Culture

Please go check out Art Alley! It's not the biggest place, but it's part of Searcy's downtown revitalization. I aboslutely love it! It's downtown right off the old town square.

Parks & Nature

So the dot on the map shows the other end of the Searcy Bike Trail. It's a little over five miles long and the other end is just a short distance (if you're a runner or walker) from my house. Go north on Susan, then right on Arch. Take an immediate left again onto Ella Street and you will run into the end of the bike trail in about a quarter mile.

The emporium is a pretty neat place, especially if you like to repurpose things like I do. They have many different booths with everything from junk to old school items from the past. I always end up roaming around there on rainy days.

Drinks & Nightlife

What can I say about the VFW? It's not Studio 54, but if you'd like to go out, have a drink, or maybe do some Karaoke it's going to be your only place in town.
