Food Scene

Stone Cliff Inn- an upscale restaurant overlooking the Clackamas river about a 10 minutes drive from the house. Great food and high ceiling, log-cabin like atmosphere. If you would like to dress up a bit or not (this is Portland after all and anything goes), this is a nice place to go.
This is a very cute, quaint, comfy coffee shop with great breakfasts and lunches too. The inside is European styled and homey.

Plan to spend some time here as it is the largest used and new bookstore in the world, occupying an entire city block and home to about one million books.

Getting around

The Max Light Rail System

There is the "Max Light Rail" stop at Clackamas Towne Center that will take you downtown, to the Expo Center, Rose City, the Airport, and many other places. It is a convenient way to get around and trains leave about every 15 minutes.
