Favorite Silverton restaurants

Coffee shops, breweries and fine dining
A true gem of both cuisine and atmosphere. Fine dining 2 blocks from the house. Chef Jeff and the team will take amazing care of you. Reservations highly recommended but if you're trying to get in last minute, it's worth a phone call to see if they can accommodate you. (Tell them you're staying in town) :)

Yummy, and friendly. Sit in the restaurant or in the bar (full menu available in the bar). About a 3 1/2-block walk and you'll go by (not over) the little covered bridge on the way; it's really cute. Downstairs in the brick Hartman Building along the creek.

Silverton wouldn't be the same without Mac's - if you go you'll know what we mean. Full bar and pub-type menu. Great outdoor deck (with heaters) overlooking the creek.

Gourmet Coffee & crepes. Quintessential coffee shop along the creek - with a really nice event/meeting space next door should you need it (same owners)

Silverton's favorite hometown diner. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, bar, pizza (you can order and drive through for pizza pickup). Bloody Mary in the bar upstairs for weekend breakfast! Best diner-style breakfast any day of the week.

Great wine and bar with tasty menu (baked brie, bruschetta, but also enough for dinner - lasagna, salmon, pasta or french onion soup, for example). Just two blocks, along the creek. Heater on the deck overlooking the creek!

In/Around Silverton

Our favorite things right in/around Silverton
Silver Falls State Park - it's just beautiful, any season. Hiking, biking, beautiful cozy old lodge. Quality gift shop run by Friends of the Park. You can see the main waterfall from the day use area on an easy paved walk, or you can hike for miles and miles. Best known for Trail of Ten Falls (10 waterfalls in 7 miles ... pretty epic and highly recommended! Just go prepared and for the conditions if you go).

Showcase gardens of Oregon's nursery industry. It's really fabulous. Wander or ride their shuttle. Beautiful views of the valley and a lovely gift shop. Restaurant with great view. Cozy bar with fireplace. It's a great power walk from the house (hill), but if you want to really see the Gardens, I'd drive to save energy for walking once you're there - it covers a lot of ground! It's beautiful and you'll probably learn a few things (if you want)
