Glorious Looe

One of the quaintest, most ancient, quintessentially Cornish fishing ports ever.
Everything from a proper full English (or veggie) breakfast to 'something on toast' - or just a round of toast. Go back for lunch for a good selection - steak pie, fish & chips or ham, egg and chips. Lovely old-fashioned puds 'with custard' - oh, and don't forget the stack of pancakes with bacon and maple syrup.

Best coffee in town served with a smile and a sense of humour. The best French-style crepes, from a Breakfast Crepe to Banana and Chocolate (or Nutella).

Great restaurant up stairs - good quality food or try the cafe downstairs. Got kids? Let them loose on the climbing wall at the back and in the free Heritage Centre (to the right of the cafe). All in the same building. Downstairs is a great wet weather option with kids.

Food scene

A tiny but amazing little cafe tucked away a hundred yards or so (about the same in meters!) up Castle Street. Don't be daunted by the hill - just take it slowly - and you will have worked up an appetite and lost the calories by the time you've entered this wonderful retro 1950s / 1960s cafe. Doorstep sandwiches, homemade scones and cakes and pasties from Sarah's Pasties, a 'proper job' traditional Cornish pasty bakery in Looe. They serve a cracking breakfast too.
