About a 40 minute drive from Yurtopia, via Hwy32 and Purgatory Road, you'll be at Gruene, Texas. This old Dance Hall is the real deal for fantastic, authentic Texas music and beer. Don't order the wine. It's terrible. Beer only in this joint. There's a wide variety of fancy and not-so-fancy restaurants close by as well, so you'll be fine, I promise. The main point here is active listening to the music. Spontaneous dancing also allowed!
