My favourite sushi train. Cheap and affordable sushi. Good selection of a-la-carte side dishes. Sit at the counter by the sushi train or in a booth. Always busy with sometimes a bit of a wait. Can ring up for takeaway too.

Usually part of my weekend routine. Walk the dogs here, pick up some sweet treats and coffee and then head to the park opposite to enjoy on a nice sunny day. Used to be cash only but now accepts card. Will sell out most of their goodies if you arrive late. Pickup freshly baked bread and baguettes 3 days a week.

This one is attached to the 3 little pigs tavern and has a huge selection of craft beer that you dont really get elsewhere. There is a newer branch in Newmarket that is also pretty good but i prefer this one in Stafford Shopping centre.

Favourite Bars and Restaurants

Some recommendations to try in Brisbane.
Cool location in the city mainly for after dinner drinks. The new Death and taxes in the picture does amazing cocktails. So does Super Whatnot. Korean BBQ Funny Funny is also good if you are in a big group.

Sunnybank Market Square is where you can find most asian foods. Forget Chinatown in the Valley. It is a bit of a drive from Newmarket but worth it if you have a car. Free parking but can be frustrating to find a spot.

Great views and photo op at the Lookout. For those looking for a bit of a trek then park at JC Slaughter Falls Picnic area and walk up to the Lookout point. Or you could just drive straight up. Parking might be tricky during peak hrs.

My old jogging route. The route is about 4-5km for complete round. Very scenic and could be turned into a pub crawl if you'd like. Start late afternoon at the top of Kangaroo Point Cliffs - great photo spot. Stop off Story Bridge Hotel for refreshments or walk across Story Bridge and stop off at Felons. Be warned, you might not leave Felon's or the Howard Smiths Wharves area. Then walk along the river towards Eagle Street Pier - plenty of Bars and restaurants here. Then walk through the Botanical Gardens and across to Southbank. Finally take the train home to my place if you are out of time or completely knackered. I usually complete the round on my run along the Kangaroo Point cliffs boardwalk and up the treacherous stairs back to where you started.
