About 250 feet from the cottage and just below the waterfalls, there are 2-3 swimming holes depending on how much water is flowing. You can relax, swim or nap in the sun along the shore.
Nearby Swan Lake has a state park for public swimming and picnicking. There is a boat launch close to Swan Lake Village along Route 141. It is a beautiful lake where you can fish, paddle, and swim. 7 miles from Waterfall Cottage and 7 miles from Belfast.
