This is a great South Indian restaurant with incredible cocktails and a great vibe. It is in the Fillmore neighborhood which has several other cool restaurants and bars, as well as one of the city's best movie theaters - Kabuki Theater.

Drinks & Nightlife

We love the bar upstairs in this restaurant/lounge in San Francisco's "gayborhood." They have great happy hour (martini) deals!

Parks & Nature

Mt. Davidson is the highest geographical feature in San Francisco and the vistas do not disappoint! There is a 100' cross at the very top of the mountain that is quite impressive (and lit twice each year - Easter Eve and the annual commemoration of the Armenian Genocide). The trailhead is a 5-7 minute walk from our front gate and well worth a visit if you would like to explore nature and don't mind walking up some hills.

This park is a hidden gem in San Francisco and a dog walker's paradise. It is a fairly large park right in the middle of the city with good trails of varying difficulty. There is also a very nice playground and tennis courts are available.

Getting Around

This is the closest MUNI station to downtown. It is a 20-minute walk to/from our place, or you can take the 36 bus that stops two doors away from us and take it to the station (direction: Forest Hill). Please keep in mind that San Francisco has two transit options: MUNI which is bus and light rail and San Francisco only; and BART which is a more traditional subway that goes throughout the Bay Area.
